What does no contact mean?

It doesn't replace professional help. It doesn't diagnose you or anyone else. It doesn't tell you what you should do. It's a safe space where you can process what's been left unprocessed. Create corrective experiences for yourself. At your own pace. In your own words. As many times as you need.

What is Get Closure?
Get Closure is a safe digital space that helps you maintain no contact and find closure on your own terms. It was built by a peer — someone who has walked the same path.
How does it work?
You have two conversation partners. A healthy version of your ex validates your experience, takes responsibility and gently guides you toward letting go. A friend listens, gently challenges and is always available.
What research is the app based on?
The app draws on trauma bond theory (Dutton & Painter), the empty chair technique (Paivio & Greenberg), scaffolding and self-efficacy theory (Bandura, Vygotsky), and trauma-informed design principles (SAMHSA).
Is this therapy?
No. Get Closure is a support tool that complements professional help — especially when it's not available, like evenings, nights and weekends.
What does it cost?
We use a solidarity-based pay-what-you-can model (€0–19.99/month). Those who pay more enable access for those who can't afford to.
How is my data protected?
Each user's data is isolated at database level (RLS). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Conversations are not stored on the language model side. We comply with GDPR.
